help! time to re-do my aquascape
Hi everyone.
just wondered if I could get some advise on re-doing my planted tank. Right now I have a 40G breeder with 96Watts and some DIY C02. My PH is 6-6.5 and I dose (when I remember) flourish excel and plant food. I want to overhaul my tank, move the rocks, add some driftwood and re-arrange the plants. should I remove all my fish first? The last time I did some re-organizing the water became very cloudy from the substrate being stirred up. I cleaned an old 10G tank. I have had it a long time and I know that the last time I put a fish in it, the fish died. I cleaned the tank with aquarium salt and a little water and then rinsed it out. Will it be ok as a hospital tank? should I put my fish in it when I re-do my tank? lastly, I found the driftwood (its just what I wanted) on the beach in Nova Scotia, I dried it out, boiled it and let it soak for a month. It should be ok in my aquarium....right? Thanks in advance for the help. |

If you wish, or have anything incredibly sensitive. Cloudy water happens in nature, in fact... Most natural waters are not crystal clear.. be it silt or free floating algae.
