20 gallon plant selection
I'll start cycling my 20 high this weekend (fishless and plantless, but I am moving an existing bio wheel from an established tank to the new one to get a start). Coral life 24" T5NO light, ECO Complete and Fluorite (both black) substrate, Marine land Emperor 280 HOB, 200 watt heater. I plan on housing a school of Featherfin Rainbows, Amano shrimp and Nerite snails. I picked these cuz my tap water is KH4, GH 9, pH 7.6, so I shouldn't have to do much but de-chlorinate. I don't have CO2 now, but will soon (PM'ing back and forth with Bettatail). Also will have some wood, maybe a interesting piece of Manzanita.
For me, that was the easy part. Plants.... HHHMMMMM... I really don't have a good LFS to see plants, so I went through the database. Here is what I thought I might try (I need easy). Back ground: Water Sprite Wysteria Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' Hygrophilia Corybosa "Angustifolia" Rotala rotundifolia Midground: Ludwigia repens Creeping Jenny Hygrophila pinnatifida Hygrophila Corymbosa var Compact Foreground: Monosolenium tenerum Echinodorus tenellus Anubias barteri 'Petite' On wood: Fissidens fontanus Microsorum pteropus "narrow" Microsorum pteropus "Red" General comments, good choice, bad choices, too many?? I also am going to have to find a place to buy these. AZ Gardens seems to have most of these. Any and all input is welcome. Bruce |

Sounds like too many to start with.
But then again I have only a few types - crytps, swords, anubias, java ferns. I've gotten a lot of great plants from the people here. Check the selling & WTB threads & see what people have.
