3 gal low tech. failed betta and failed cbs

First tank journal! Wanted a simple tank for the office and maybe some shrimp in future. All new plants for me so I'm not even sure they all grow in low tech.

I started with 3 gal Mr. Aqua bow front tank.

Substrate: Flourite with liquid leondarite(I incorrectly bought) and some lava rock and then topped with ada aquasoil.

Light: 13 w CFL (FUGERAY WAS GREAT and I moved it to another 3 gal I'm starting at home)

Filter and CO2 : None

Plants: staurogyne repens, bacopa caroliniana, bacopa madagascariensis, bacopa lanigera, fissidens

inhabitants: 5 least killifish and 15 yellow neo, 1 malawai shrimp, 2 pond snail and 1 rams horn snail

Fert: occasional seachem comprehensive and iron or as needed.

No driftwood or rocks right now. I know its a bit boring but I just want to have plants for now to see how it looks grown in.

Default added some driftwood.

added some driftwood. plants are growing slowly but growing. Put a snail and malawa shrimp and they are doing well. some random worm, pond snails and maybe copepods or something whizzing by.

Cool! I have the same tank on my desk at work now too. It's a fun little tank. It looks like your plants are filling in nicely.

The driftwood added a lot.

Default shrimps!

After getting lost by post office and idex kindly resending them, my shrimps are here. Tank stocked and just enjoying watching everything grow and looking for babies.

nice tank. Could you put a small HOB on that thing? Do they make them that small? Curious as I need a desk tank

Thanks!

I think they do have really small filters like azoo palm HOB but I've never used them. However, my hope is that the plants will be enough filter for this system.

I bought fugeray clip on. Nice looking. We'll see how everything grows.

Had a bit of potassium def with the lanigera now corrected. Madagascariensis not doing too well. All others growing well. A little bit of algae on glass but I'm going to let the snails and shrimp take care of it.

2 Baby least killifish. No new shrimp.
