It's fert time!
I recently acquired a liquid EI style dosing kit, easy-life ferro iron liquid fert, and Seachem Equilibrium and had a few questions.
At what day/time during the week do i dose the iron and Equilibrium? I don't want my ferts to cancel out each other. Would it be better to dose macro or micro nutrients following iron or equilibrium? I guess i am asking what would be the proper schedule for the combination i am dosing. Thanks in advance! |

If you're following normal EI to the letter, you dose micros and macros on alternate days. Iron is important enough that it often gets spoken of separately, but it's still a micro, and gets dosed on micro days.
But really, it's remarkably uncritical. You can do half doses of macros and micros every day, if that's easier to remember. A bit of the phosphate may react with a bit of the iron, resulting in slight cloudiness - but few people see this, or notice any difference for the plants. The Equilibrium gets dosed right after your weekly water change.
