I'm trying to wrap my head around all of this...

Is there any advantage to having the Miracle Gro soil as the base and then capping it off with Safe-T-Sorb?

Would you still use EI dosing? Or would that be taken care of by the soil?

Because I like the look of STS in other people's tanks, does it make sense just to stick with that and EI dosing and forget the soil?

If you tinker with the scape all the time moving things skip the dirt.

If you set a scape and maintain then dirt is a bang for the buck that's hard to beat.
