"Iwagumi Terrascape"?

Has anyone ever tried creating a terrarium equivalent of an Iwagumi aquascape? I've always admired how they resemble tiny cliffs and mountains with grassy fields below. Trying to make a land-based one sounds like a really interesting project that I'd love to try my hand at some day. What do ya'll think?

It's doable, you should try it.
Look into plants used for poison frogs.
Check out www.blackjungle.com, they have many wonderful plants for humid plantings and they have rocks, wood, substrate almost everything you need.

Sadly, I can't do this with the millipede tank I'm setting up next month, since they need a leaf litter floor and will eat all the moss. But tanks do have that mysterious ability to multiply...

Maybe I can pick up some kind of glass jar at a thrift store and set up a nano terrascape. I have no idea what kind of critter would go in there. I did see an utterly adorable, teeny whipscorpion at a petstore once, but they might require more cover than I can provide in a setup like this.
