Question

Giant danio with white blister on lip

My largest Giant Danio got a white blister on his lip when I got him. I seemed to of popped after a week. Two weeks later it was gone and healed. Any idea what it was?

Not sure, but I have treated that with triple sulfa, ever since I lost a few fish with that many many moons ago. It does not happen often, but I treat it right away.

Could have been cottonmouth, which can be treated simply by better water quality. Or it could have been a battle scar.

I came back in the last few days. I had my friend look at it and he said something about cottonmouth, but I don't think it's cottonmouth. I had a floor change in my place and I did a big water change when I moved my tank. I think it might be the new water. Hope it goes away again.
