One aggressive male.
So I recently started a new dedicated shrimp tank, with about 10 female PFRs and about three males. For four months....no pregnancies at all. The females remained saddled but no berried ones. I got inpatient by that point and went and found one more male (males are hard to find at the LFS). And after this new males goes into my tank....three days later ALL my females are berried! He knocked up all my beeyotches!!!!!

My first PFR breeding group consisted of 10 female + 1 male... and yeah, I don't know if I should feel good or bad for that male, and I had at least half of the females berried almost all the time lol

(Brings to mind my two male canaries who did nothing but eat, poop and sing until I brought home a female.
Within a couple days the first of several eggs were laid, within a month, chicks. That was the only time they are bred. Wishing your shrimpies better luck!) Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S III using Tapatalk 2
