Light suggestions

Hello!

I am going to start a npt low teck dirt tank with dimmensions 35 x 35 x 16 (height) inches.

I have some problems finding lightning to cover a cube 35x35 inches.

Any suggestions?

36" fixtures shouldn't be difficult to find. You can do (one or) two 2-bulb T8 fixtures, one towards the front and one towards the back.

EDIT: I've never dealt with metal halides but you can probably just hang a MH fixture a few feet above the tank so that you can pretty even light distribution and it shouldn't be too intense for a low-tech.
