Dirt leaching into water in DSM?

Hey guys im doing a dry start method in my tank with mgocpm and a sand/gravel cap. The substrate is sloped because my scape will be and so there is a little standing water in the lower half. Yellow slime looking stuff is floating around In the water. I assume this is from the dirt? Will it dilute and eventually go away with a filled tank?

Bring the water level down so there is no standing water in the tank whatsoever and continue your DSM.
