yea, i think it accepts it initially then erases it.
Regardless, I have almost 570 votes and am in 5th place!! That is HUGE. Even if I don't end up getting the prize, the bolster to my confidence to continue to try and keep my business running has definitely occurred. It has been a struggle lately, and I have found myself wondering WHY i work so many hours and so hard to not make ends meet. Apparently it is because of my freaking phenomenal customer base

They aren't just selecting based on votes. Apparently merit, too. The first winner was a store looking to expand their business (dur..) with 217 votes.
You've got as good of a chance as the one with the most votes, and a better story than 70% of them. Also a unique business. I'd give you a really good chance of winning, based on the number of businesses over 200 votes with real stories.

I hope so, too. there are several that seem more like non-profits than small businesses, some that are not in business yet, etc. I am hoping that because I have specific needs, and an actual business, and a good website it will help me with the chance of winning.
