south american plants


what plants are there that will grow with medium light?

Most of the swordplants, pennywort, Sagittaria subulata, and Christmas moss, to name a few. I'm not sure about the last one, some sources say that it's from SA, others say that it's from SE Asia.

You may try cabombas. This looks like a miniature pine tree. Grows high to the top of tank ... they have long stemmed legs. Needs clipping pretty often.

I think cabombas require high light.

Found a couple more: Bacopa australis and Stargrass, Heteranthera zosterfolia. Stargrass does better in high light, though.
