3 day old tank with unknown substance forming

Hey everyone you know more than I know so I figured Id ask what this is that is growing on my drift wood top and around the base. Its cloudy in color. The tank has co2, good filtration and based on tests ph 6.5 nitrite 0 nitrate 20 currently. This is the first day of seeing it appear. The tank is maintained at 78 degrees with lights on 4 hours off 1 then on 5 more. Today has been a hot one and the water went up to 79-80 today.

+1 Don't worry about it, it will go away. It's common.

yep, fungus. in my new tank, i scrubbed it off one piece of petrified wood. it came back - just on that wood again, haha. another scrub, came back again. no more laughing. i took that petrified wood out of the tank, haven't had a problem with it since - it never showed up on anything else in the tank, but it does resemble what gets on a dead fish or shrimp within hours.

I found this pic of wood totally surrounded by the type of fungus we're discussing - again, it'll freak you out but it's supposed to go away on its own.

If you touch the water it will get in your blood stream and then all your hair is going to fall and then is gonna ruin your car engine oil.

Yea def the consistency of snot. Hmm I might pull the wood and rescape anyways. It seems kind of busy with the wood Id rather go with a simpler design. Ill mill it over for a few hours and see if I have the motivation later in the night.

Also where it touched my skin I grew freckles and my hair started to turn red...this stuff is the devil I swear.

Had the same thing happen on my wood. It will go away after a few days/ a week. Nothing to worry about

Most people are saying a few days to a week to go away. Mine is finally gone...3 months later...

That stuff is gonna creep out of your tank and then get into your brain thru your ear while asleep and control your thoughts and make you eat your fish...
