Is this enough light?
I have a 29 gallon aquarium I'd like to plant. Until I know if I'm going to stick with plants I don't want to get an expensive fixture. I have two clamp lamps that I'd like to put CFLs in over the tank. If I get two 26w 6500k bulbs would that be enough light for a low-moderate light tank? Or would I need 3 26w bulbs? I can get another clamp lamp.
Thanks! |

I had three in my 36 gal 21 inches high and was okay until the clamp broke on one and then another fell into the tank. switched to led after that. aqueon modular and marineland double bright were on sale for under 100...
check http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=85667 for more info on cfl. lot of it will depend on vertical vs horizontal placement and reflectors and distance to bottom of tank. |
