Can't screw tops back on inline diffuser

I'm installing my GLA 12/16 Inline Diffuser in my Eheim 2213, but the parts that are supposed to screw on won't. Has anyone else had a problem with this? I imagine that the pressure exerted wouldn't be to much, but I want to make sure before I turn the filter back on.

I assume you are talking about the two hose retaining 'wahsers'? I just had the same problem with UpAqua atomizer - the OD of the hose was slightly too large. I ended up just using hose clamps.

I did try to sand the outside of the hose down, but that turned out to be easier said then done.

BTW: did you get the macrandra? Dead or alive?

I use a GLA in-line as well. The screw locks should not be put on the tubing and screwed down onto the diffuser. Leave the screw lock rings on the diffuser, push the tubing on to the shoulder then screw the ring up to the tubing, just snug. You can keep turning them and they will pass right over the end of the diffuser and be free on the tubing........just snug them good. Try that......works like a champ for me!
