Tank journal for new 37gal setup.

Hello planted tank. I am at the end of cycling my 37 gallon and have it setup with flora. It only has the HOB filter that came with it. I plan on adding an AquaClear 50 later on for redundancy. This tank was fishless cycled with pure amonia added to 4ppm daily. Currently clears amonia and nitrites in a 24 hour period. I am a couple days away from adding fauna. Any suggestions for stocking?

I was thinking of a single angelfish and a small school of something but the verdict is not yet in. Would ottocinclus be ok with a single angel?

Here is the thought behind the layout. It is based on the golden spiral/Fibonacci spiral. Is there anything to this?

I am winging this here. This is my new show tank and I want it to be better than my last attempt.

This is what it looks like currently.

What would you stock this tank with?

I like it a lot!! I would stock it with a pair of GBR's or appisto's and a 11-13 school of any small tetra's or rasboras. If you wanted angles you may want to get a few to spread aggression if there is any.
Good luck...

Have you thought about Apistos or Rams?
I would put at least one Ancistrus in there to keep the driftwood looking nice!

Here is an update:
So I went with 2 Bolivian rams, a single angelfish, a school of 6 flame tetras, a single bamboo shrimp, and a bristlenose pleco. Here are some pics.

Thanks for the kind words. I really appreciate the suggestions on stocking. I'm now fully stocked and just need to start adding plants as I can afford them. I have a few crypts in there that are still melting. The Ancistrus is nibbling on some of the melted Crypts for me but it has clouded the water a bit. It would be nice to get more plants "on the cheap", as I've already blown my budget. Does anyone have any trimmings they could toss my way? This always happens. Ha ha. I'll update with pictures once the plants fill in or as I get more.

Update. My crypts have stopped melting and everything is settling in. The water has cleared up considerably, though I think the driftwood is still leaching some tannins. I don't mind it and the fish like it. Got a few more plants. Some anubias attached to the driftwood and lots of java windelov. Sorry for the poor quality of the pic, iPhone4s is not the world's greatest camera.
