I planted and flooded the tank last Saturday night. i have my CO2 up and running and will have week 1 of my EI dosing wrapped up later today.
I am starting to see an outbreak of diatoms and some crypt "melt" as they adjust to their new environment. Also currently experiencing the new driftwood "fuzz". Cannot wait for this phase to be over! |

It will eventually clear up on its own after a few weeks. Your fish, shrimp, snails will also clear it out too. If you want it gone now, you could always yank the driftwood, give it a good scrub w/ a toothbrush, and put it back in the tank. I prefer to just let it be and allow it to disappear naturally on its own as the tank matures.

I really like your substrate, looks fantastic. Gotta love a fully flora'd tank in 2 months - grats.

Thanks! The substrate is a mixture of black fluorite, dark fluorite, and generic pea gravel. I was a little leery of mixing in the pea gravel, but am now glad that I decided to take the plunge. It gives the overall substrate look a nice contrast with the darker fluorite.

Hi, do you think Roselines can spend their entire life in a 48 x 18 tank? I really like them but heard they can get huge and not sure what the minimum tank size is.
I like that laser Cory too! |

The Roselines seem totally fine in the 75g right now. They zip all over the tank but will still most likely get a bigger home in due time. I would eventually like to get a 220 up and running for them.
