Using tap water??

I use tap water for my planted tank... Just wondered if it was bad or not. Never had very good outcome with ro/di water... Ro/di seems to be too soft to activate my co2 controller...

I've always used tap water for all of my tanks over the years, just make sure to use a declorinator for the new water.

I've used tap for all my tanks in various loactions throughout the US. Never had problems anywhere. Only time I went to RO/DI water was when I was keeping CRS.

its perfectly fine thats all i use for my tank never anything else, its cheap and easy to get. Just make sure You dont have chlorine or ammonia in your water or you will have to have something to neutralize it like prime.

Depends on the tap water and what livestock you are keeping.
