Getting back into the hobby!
Hello!
After over five years out of the hobby, I'm looking forward to starting a new planted tank. There seems to be some new advancements in the hobby and would like to get some advice on a couple things, specifically LED lighting and CO2 injection. I'm planning on purchasing a 15 gallon tank (24" L x 12"H x 12"W), and would like to stock it with crypts. I'd also like to keep my options open for some sort of carpeting plant. As for live stock, I'm looking at blue rams and some tetras. Regarding LED lighting, I found the following on eBay and need to know if this would work for medium lighting: 24" Freshwater Bright LED by Beamworks 3rd Generation Features: Dimensions - 23.00” x 5.00” x 1.00” Brackets add 0.65" in height Includes 78 LEDs 1500 Lumen Super energy efficient .20 watt LEDs 72x 10000K LEDs 6x Actinic 460nm LEDs Uses 18 watts Slim and contemporary light design For CO2 injections, I was looking at the Fluval system. I'm not sure if its any good. More than anything I want something simple and reliable so I'm open to everyone's recommendations. Thanks for your help and I look forward to documenting my new tank with everyone! Mike |
