T5 lighting question?
I have a 10g tank that i plan on adding java fern and anubias too. Would an 8w 12in t5 bulb be too strong or will the plants be fine?
New to planted tanks so advice is very much a ppreciated

That would be perfect amount of light any more would be a waste, two bulb two specturm would be ok.

A 12 inch long light on a 20 inch long tank will cause you to have very uneven lighting. The last 6 inches of tank on each side will get much less light than the middle 8 inches. But, without any PAR measurements on that particular light I have no idea whether that middle 8 inches will be low, medium, or high light.
