It basically means that it is "similar to". It comes from the latin word "conferre" which means "compare to". So cf. cocama means the fish should be compared to cocama, though is not formally classified as cocama and often infers that is a variant of that species.

Keep in mind, this is less than 12 hours in the tank. Those pencils are young, just over .5" and already have that kind of coloring!

That is the mortenthaleri- red

Supposedly I got purples too, but to me at this size, they both look the same. I unpacked them into different quarantine tanks, but I have a feeling time will tell.
