Need suggestions for tall plants for this 37g

I'm looking for some suggestions for tall plants with low light requirements to help fill in the background of my son's 37g.

The lighting is a Marineland LED fixture that is integrated with the hood. it looks like the "LED Aquarium Light" which I just learned Marineland says is not recommended for freshwater plants. The anubis and java moss in the tank seem to be doing OK though.

The whole tank is probably some Petsmart or Petco bundle -- we got it used from Craigslist. Unfortunately, a lighting upgrade is not in the budget right now.

not to hijack your thread but are those barbs in with the angel? Have you had any problems?

I agree on the vals too. Took a while for mine to start coming in and really fill up the back of my 37. Wisteria and Ludwigia repens took over my tank for a while under low light. I just had to trim them again this morning. My amazon sword is going crazy too. Just needed some root tabs.

Yes, they are. No, I have not.

I only received them yesterday from a local reef club member, but he had them together in a 75g with no problems. YMMV.

That's something I wish I had done before setting it up.

I cut a piece of black matting that I got at Michael's arts and crafts to get a black background. It's a good easy after the fact addition.
