Safe T Sorb planning

Planning bringing a 55g online to grow plants and eventually add small schooling fish.

Plans are from top to bottom:
  1. 40lb bag of Safe T Sorb (approximately 1.75" evenly spread)
  2. .5-1" pool/playground sand from lowes
  3. light sprinkle of osmocote granules + kno3 dry ferts
  4. .5" organic peat moss

Are there any factors or concerns to be aware of with this combination?
The Aquatic Plant Society - Our first meet in 2014 will be in July. Stay tuned.
