ADA Style DIY Stand
So I'm doing a 75-P and I decided to make my own stand. I'll try and put as many pictures as I can.
When planning to do this don't forget to take the thickness of the formica into account. I did it everywhere except for the small front face on the top. I'm sure the only person that sees it is me and it really bugs me a ton ![]() Formica color http://www.formica.com/en/home/dna.aspx?color=5882 I started out with pre-finished plywood. Even though I planed on using Formica on the outside the inside would have a nice finished look. I cut all the pieces and then formicaed the bottom before I screwed and glued the sides together. I cut a dado in the side panels and and screwed and glued all the sides together. ![]() I counter sunk the screws and cut out the opening for the hoses. ![]() Put putty over the screws as I went. I planed on sanding them all down at the end. ![]() I used a pocket screw jig to put the front piece on the bottom ![]() Put 3 extra piece of plywood on the inside of the bottom to accept the screw leveling feet. Made sure to recess them enough from the bottom so the feet won't hit the ground if I decide not to use them. ![]() ![]() ![]() Drilled the holes in the bottom to access the leveling feet with a hex key. ![]() Started gluing on the Formica ![]() Finished Product

Very nicely done! That looks just great! Really like how you did the bottom with the leveling feet.

Wow, nicely done. I also love that you can adjust the levelers through the hole that you drilled.

Absolutely not! It cost about $240 and a day and a half worth of work. The formica and glue were most of that cost. But having the right tools helped a lot.

Thanks! Thank you! I was thinking it would be a big PITA if there was no way to adjust them with the cabinet on the floor and the tank on it. They really turned out being very helpful. |
