Drop checker

Hi all, how high in my tank should my drop checker be ?
Just been told 3" from the bottom, but the instructions say 10
cm from the top of the water.

either would likely be fine as long as you realize that the drop checker is going to be detecting CO2 levels at the spot in the tank that its placed. I know this sounds self explanatory, but for instance, if you stick it over in the corner that doesn't get much flow or conversely right in front of your lily pipe the readings won't accurately represent the "average" values of your tank. I don't see any problem sticking anywhere in a medium flow are somewhere in the mid water area trying to try to approximate your "average tank conditions.

I like to stick it just a bit lower, so it doesnt get that much affected or moved on partial water changes.
