Shrimps are freaking out!
I did a 20% water change and added remineralizer. I tested and the params are:
Before: PH: 7.8 GH: 6 KH:5 TDS: 214 After: PH: 7.4 GH: 7 KH:4 TDS: 196 There was a brief PH crash were it probably went to around 6 during the water change. I do not know why but now the shrimp are swimming around the outside of the tank now. I did this about 3 hours ago and none have died. Am I going to wake up to mass death tomorrow? Are they just going to molt? |

Is it males and females or just the males? My males were all going SUPER nuts two nights ago while all the girls kept on grazing and now I have (at least) two berried shrimp

My shrimp are always a little more active after a water change, not just the males. A water change simulates a strong rain, which is known to excite many aquatic animals and even encourage them to spawn.
