Need Advice Ordering Plants Online In Cold Weather State?

I live in Michigan and it's been fairly cold but not below freezing yet. Is it safe to order plants from online?

Depends upon what you're ordering and where you're ordering.

Are they hardy plants? Does the seller use insulated packaging? Can they throw in a small heat pack if necessary?

This is relevant to my interests I'm in Ypsi, myself, and I've been worrying about how to get what I want over the winter. It'll be in the 70s this week, but it'll drop again before October is out

My aquascape style tends towards 'tall in the back, short in the front, lots and lots of green and stuff. And maybe a rock somewhere...'

I'm NW of Chicago. I will ship in/out as long as we're in the 30's ( booth ends of the ship) and said package is going/coming from more that 500min away. Over 500mi and USPS uses a plane. The package is typically not out of a building long enough to freeze.

You can always ask your LFS to order plants for you. Most of them do and they do not charge Fedex shipping cost

Plus, if you don't like the plants nobody will force you to buy them.
