Problem with hairgrass

Ever since I put my 65 watt pc directly over my hairgrass the growth has gotten very short, and thick and now looks like it is going to die. Could the increased densness be choking ou the plant.

It could be starving...more light = a little more ferts to keep up with growth demand. Try upping the dosing level a bit if you havent done so with the additional lighting.
