Red Rilis and Red Cherries; Will they interbreed?

I've received a colony of what was supposed to be Red Cherries, but several Red Rilis got mixed in.

My question is will they interbreed?

Yes, they will interbreed. They're of the same species: neocardina heteropoda

Yes, you will get mut shrimp! Red rillis came from selective breeding PFR/Fire Reds/RCS

On the plus side, none will look the brown wild color. They are both red.

i say just leave them wont hurt them unless your wanting just cherries. some might pop up with the rili coloring later on

Yeah - definitely leave them together.

You won't get "mut" shrimp at all. If anything, you'll occasionally have Rilis show up in your population.

I meant by mutt shrimp is they will be mixed they will not be rilli or rcs they will be mixed

Mutt shrimp are defintely a possibility. You'll get a cherry with less red coverage but not clear spots on the body. It'll be a shrimp with a less than rili clear patch.

Or you end up in the world where slowly your entire colony goes one way or the other with no issues of quality/grade.

Though, this only happens to be when I'm not trying. If I try? Grade suffers. heh.

Also how do you sex Red Rilis?

sexing will be the same for all shrimp. curved lower tail for females, straight angle tail for males.

they will interbreed for sure >.<, i have red rillis breed and some babies turn cherry...so i throw them in with rcs..

Xenes threw in red rilis, PFR, and blue rilis and never got any chocolates just some interesting rilis and blue velvets. I bought some of those and they are breeding like crazy. Mix of blue velvets, red rilis so far. I am going to try and selectively bred the weirder ones to see how it works out.
