I think your tank is going to be great! For a suggestion on aquascaping...I always like standing up pieces of driftwood as much as possible. For driftwood piece 3, I would stand the two legs on the ground pointing the other leg toward to surface. Just my two cents.

Hmm... interesting idea... let's see how it goes!

Seller hasn't even SHIPPED the ADA Aquasoil, so I'm kinda mad. Should get here next week though. Hopefully Monday.

Wow! Soo glad, the Bee Shrimp Mineral GH+ (RO remineralizer) came today! The last component, the ADA Aquasoil, was shipped today, should get here Monday.

Do ya know what that means? I may very well be able to set up this tank this weekend, and get shrimp in just a few short weeks!!

So I tore down the tank today, putting the established filter media into my 55's filter, to keep the BB colony alive during remodeling.

Hopefully the ADA Aquasoil is coming on Monday, seller didn't get me a tracking number though. We'll have to see.

Got some pics after it was torn down, here they are.

How do you like the desk lamp for planted tank lighting? Do Ya remember how much it was? I am guessing it uses power compact bulb? Is there replacement bulbs for it?

1. I love it! Cheap, effective, small, awesome!
2. It was about $30 shipped, which is a GREAT price, notches me up to medium lighting in a ten gallon. I have one over my other 10 gallon as well, I loved it so much!
3. I suppose so, but whatever it uses, it grows plants nicely .
4. Probably, I haven't checked for plants though yet.

Since you sent me one, they gave the option of shipping it from store to home. I got another one when I couldn't find a different cheap option .

lol. Believe me, it was AGONIZING waiting for the AS to get here so I could set it up, but can you believe it?

Don't wash the AS too much. Anything more than a light rinse is going to take off some of the magical AS dirt that helps the buffering etc....
