As some of you may know, I’ve been dealing with some severe health issues over the last 14 months. What I haven’t told many people is that I’ve been dealing with cancer. Cancer is not a pleasant experience. Because of the painful & taxing nature of what I’ve been dealing with, I have not been able to keep up with the demands of pfertz as I had hoped I would. My loving wife has picked up most of the slack for the last year, but it has been exhausting & has taken a toll on our lives.

To this end, we have decided to shut down the business so we can recover & reset both mentally and physically. We have had a pleasant experience over the last 5+ years, and I have enjoyed talking to many of you via email, answering questions, helping with aquarium advice, etc. but it is time for us to move on.
