Internal Filter - models?
I have a Fluval Flora tank using the stock internal fluval filter - I find that I"m constantly having to clean the impeller to stop a rattling noise. Anyhow, can anyone recommend a good quiet internal filter for a nano tank of 7 gallons?

That's why I use HOB filters instead of the internals. I would assume those problems with the rattling you're dealing are quite common if you don't cover the intake.
I had a duetto internal filter, but the impeller snapped from a piece of flourite entering the chamber. Since I'm always messing around with hot peppers and so on when I eat, I there's a chance I may poison everything in my tank one day from not washing my hands enough to rid my skin of excess capsaicin. I also have the tetra internal filters, but I don't like them whatsoever due to their crappy design.

I had that filter on my ebi for a while. Had the same problem with rattling noise and it drove me insane. Also didnt like how much room it took up inside the tank I finally got a toms mini canister filter for $25 on amazon. Great little filter for the ebi and completely silent. Plus it opens up all that valuable space inside the tank

I just swapped out my Fluval Nano internal filter for a duetto DJ50.
I had the same problem with the Fluval, called Customer Support and they sent out a New Impeller but the noise continued. |
