Inline purigen reactor/co2 diffusers

Would like to start a thread to hear the advantages/disadvantages to using filter housings inline as Purigen reactors or for diffusing co2 into the tank.

There is one thing ı would like to ask. Do you want to learn the advantage/disadvantage to apply the co2 to internal filter ?

What does the canister for the purigen connect to in order to filter the tank? Could I use this will a sponge filter? I've never tried anything like this before.

The quick and dirty answer would be that the advantages are an increased exposure to the Purigen and the disadvantage would be a marginal decrease in flow...

If you have room in your canister for a 100 ml packet, is there any real need for a reactor? A little seems to go a long way according to the manufacturer.

Sorry... inline being that there is a line in to the diffuser or reactor from the outflow of your canister filter.
