I thought it was ok. It looks really nice once you get all the dust off the surface, rinsing it 10 times still left it very dusty though, heaven forbid you try to pull up plant with a large root system. It grew plants pretty well until after about 6 months it began to develop anaerobic pockets, at which point I switched to ADA Aquasoil and have never considered going back.

If you do use it don't make it too deep and make sure you have MTS to stir the substrate.

Gonna use it on bottom layer about half an inch I have ADA Amazonian soil for the top and Eco conpleate for middle never use onyx before though.
