Need some help ASAP!

Hey everyone, I need some quick advice!

I was changing my water yesterday and I noticed that one of my Angelfish has its fins turning white and the ends looking like they are melting :O. There is also a tiny dot of the stuff on its tailfin. He usually keeps one clamped to his side while flapping the other.

I changed the water, turned up the heat a few degrees and added some salt to the water but I am new to any sort of fish diseases so can someone point me in the right direction? This is the first fish i ever got so i want him to LIVEEE!

Thanks in advance.

Check the water conditions if you can, particularly nitrates/nitrites/ammonia.

Did u add anything or move any gravel recently?

Just checked and everything is as follows:

Ammonia 0 ppm
Nitrite 0 ppm
Nitrate 0 ppm
pH 7.8

I do not have tests for kh nor gh.

I haven't moved anything around later except for lightly vacuuming the bottom to get food and poo. I have sand substrate with root tabs.

Yes it is the pectorals that are affected right now, and I can see a tiny amount of what appears to be the same stuff on the dorsal fin, close to the body.

It doesn't seem like fin rot to me, looks like there is a growth on the fins.

Fungus perhaps? Though I'm certain it's finrot.

if you suspect fungus, lower the temperature. it will slow it down...

It looks like fungus to me... One of my neon rainbowfish had that on one pectoral and her dorsal fins. I initially treated with pimafix for a few day and increased my water change frequency. Her behavior was normal and after about a week it just went away with gradual improvement in how her fins looked over time. The fins were also clamped and unused.
