Having trouble making stocking decisions

I have a moderately planted 37 gallon tank with the current stock list.

7 White Cloud Minnows
1 Long Fin Blue Danio
7 Rummy Nose Tetras
2 Bolivian Rams
1 Oto
1 Clown Pleco
12 (give or take) Ghost Shrimp
6 or so pond snails

Filtration is a Fluval 304 and a top fin 40 HOB. The Oto is lonely after losing its tankmate 2 days ago so I will pick up 5 of those but I am stuck on what else to get. The minnows stay at the top with the danio and the rummys look great when they are swimming mid-tank but they like to hide and the rams are always protecting their territories. The tank just looks a little blah. It needs a stronger mid level swimmer(s?). I have been thinking about adding a few more rummies to the school. I thought about an angel but don't think that will be a good fit. What other fish should i be considering? Lets hear your opinions.

My fancy male guppies are all over my 29G tank, lots of fun to watch and very playful... Plus, they're cheap

I have found Espei rasboras to be very pretty/colorful, hardy, peaceful, strong mid-level swimmers... and I think that a small school (6-10) of them will be compatible with the other fish in your aquarium.

I thought about guppies but I am not a big fan. I used to have Endler's but they are hard to come by locally for some reason.

That's an idea. I hadn't thought about another school of smaller fish besides CPD's. I will look into them. I had been looking for a larger display fish that's not an Angel.

Well Petsmart made my decision for me. They had Cardinals for only $1. I picked up 6 along with my otos. The cardinals will eventually be moved to my 20L when I have a chance to get that going so I will be going over my stocking solutions again before too long.

I wouldnt go plecos in a 30, Definatley do rams but do German Blue Rams, Petsmart carries those if you want to look there. Go Corys because they are proably the best and most active bottom dwelling fish out there, you should probably pick between the ottos or Ghost Shrimp, other than that your looking good. also i love the tank, i have the same one.

I would add more fish to each of the schooling species. Half a dozen is nowhere near enough for a school.
