My 10 gallon tanks..

Kinda scared of posting because I have a cheap setup, but here are my 10 gallon lightly planted tanks.

The one on the left only has moss in it because I have some plant eaters in there. Along with the rabbit snails, I have some ghost shrimp, a little school of harlequin rasbora, and some oto cats that are always hiding.

The one on the right has ludwigia repens, lindernia variegated, moss, and water sprite, along with Prince Freddy the beautiful betta.

After taking these pics I realize that my brown rocks don't blend very well with my plants. :/
Also sorry about the quality, only have a phone to take pictures.

I think that your tanks look good to me nothing wrong with cheap setups. I was wondering the moss you have in the rope how is that attached at the bottom? Do you just the rope buried or weighed down with a weight?

Yep, 10 gallons all to himself. Wish bettas weren't so aggressive, I'm even scared of putting a snail in there with him.

I was thinking of using a weight, but it was easier to bury them a little bit.

My male Betta is in a 5 gallon tank with 2 decent-sized Nerite snails and 3 ghost shrimp. He stares at them every once in awhile, but hasn't damaged them yet. There is a decent layer of Java Moss and some rocks for the inverts to hide behind if they get scared.

When I first got Prince Freddy I had him in a 1 gallon bowl with an apple snail. It might have been the space, but he wasn't very friendly with him. :/

Maybe, first thing I want to do now is change the gravel. I do have some other plants around too.

Can you call a tank a planted tank without having too many plants? So far I kinda like it undergrown.

One plant makes a planted tank, imo.

Really it's up to the owner of the tank, people can suggest things for you to do to make your tank "better" but if you like the way one of your tanks looks keep it how YOU like it

Decided to dump my old gravel. Album here.

Goodbye old gravel.

Hellow Black Diamond. (Just testing cleanliness)

The border.

Some potting soil.

Oversized kitty cat.

Cap.

Welcome, plants.

Mmm, water.

They've seen better days.

After some hours they're already looking better.

This is my favorite pic of the bunch.

After:

That was a fun day off work.

Oh yea, wanted to ask you guys; What do you all think of the layout? I'm not completely happy with it, myself. Any tips on aquascaping?

I liked the moss rope idea, would have looked cool once grown. A black background will make a lot of difference, nice setups though.

I still have the moss rope. This is the tank on the right redone. Can't wait for it to grow. : )

How'd you know I want a black BG?
