i just came from Pets Warehouse....it's pretty big..some choices...but pricey. It's nicely stocked though....This place used to be called Coral something, all fish), but changed a couple of years ago. Guess thats how long I haven't been there.

I picked up 3 little panda garra gobbies.

a couple of nice Deep Blue rimless tanks!!!

Bonnie, i went on sat but didnt check out most of the dogs..short on time and that was spent getting free stuff, TICA, and watching flyball!

Question, how do you figure out how effective LED lights are? Im still going by wpg rules, yes i know thats pretty general but i dont have par measuring thingies and fancy whatever. Like i could go and buy. 2w small LED lamp...how good is it for plants? Found a solar powered led light on ikea and it seems sweet to put it by. WindoW onto my extra plants LOL

Yes, on Glen Cove Road...was going to stop by the Petco right next door, but I didnt because I hate how Long Island stores are situated...it's across the street but you have to start the car, drive for 20 seconds and shut the car again. Argh!!!

PAR or Lumens if disclosed by the mfr. for example on the marineland double bright leds advertise 450 - 600 lumens. That's actually considered pretty dim and would only be suitable for low to barely medium plants. If you are considering the Sunnan LED, it only has a full runtime of 3 hours on a full charge. That's provided the solar panel is removed from the lamp and placed under direct light. I have a single jansjo $9.99 led lamp from ikea which is okay for anubias and mosses but not much else.
