That is AMAZING! You have managed to do more with 2.5 gallons than most people can do with 20. Alfred |

Nice 2.5. Is that regular pool sand as the substrate?

Not really tanks but these are my windowsill/desk grow-out containers.
![]() Emersed Hydrocotyle sp. japan, HC, and Dwarf Hairgrass 'belem' ![]() Wendtti brown I planted about a week ago. It easily converted to emersed. Not shown is the moat of azolla. ![]() Amazon frogbit and my emersed stem factory: I toss stems in there and they end up growing out of the water. ![]() Ludwigia sp. "Red" popping out from a sea of frogbit. ![]() My most recent acquisitions: Hygroryza aristata, java moss, and x-mas moss. (Thanks to Barbgirl for the generous RAOK!)

How does one plant or incorporate Hygroryza aristata into a tank? I received some as part of a package but was dumbfounded as to what to do with them.

It's a floater so use it as such. It's can tolerate some surface current and it grows nice looking roots.

One 18 watt daylight cfl directly over the hairgrass and hc. The rest of the light is spilloff from my other tanks (5 gallons each).

They are merely floaters so leave them on the surface.
