6" common pleco free to a good home Lafayette, IN

I have a 6" common pleco I would like to see go to a bigger aquarium. I have a 75 and nothing bigger. Let me know if you are interested. i have an ad on CL with a pic under the pets section.

That looks like a sailfin (gibbiceps) to me, not a common. I can take him, but the biggest I have is a 75 as well, although s/he would have two others to mingle with. Mine seem quite happy in their current homes, although I'm sure their size (inch or so smaller than yours) will get to be an issue at some point. If he actually is a gibbiceps you may be able to sell him to Aquarium World, I've seen them buy ~4 inch sailfins from people before.

looking at other sailfins in Google images, you maybe right. But AW has posted they will not take fish bigger than 6" anymore. And if you only have a 75 and you already have 2, I wouldn't push it. I am not in dire need to get rid of him as he still has some room to grow, but I just wanted to free up the tank for a couple of albino BN's i am getting next month.

I saw the sign, but I've seen several large plecos (not commons) sell there recently so it might be worth asking, especially if he's close to the 6 inch mark.
