Got this tank a long time ago and now setting it up.

Added nana petites and UG DSM on the way.





Equipment:
6G Fluval Edge
DIY dual LED strips 5050SMD
Dual 4W MR16 LED bulbs
Stock HOB modified for CO2 diffusion
Aquatek CO2 regulator
20oz Paintball

Substrate:
Sphagnum Peat Moss (~1in)
Osmocote
Fluval Plant Stratum & UP Aqua Shrimp substrate mix

Hardscape:
Slate rock from LFS

Flora: (on the way for DSM)
Anubias nana "petite"
UG
Red Cabomba (will be added when filled)


~1in of sphagnum peat moss with osmocote



~1.5-2in of Fluval Stratum and UP Shrimp sand

room is dark only lit by tank lights


I have a LUX meter on the way to try and approximate how much PAR I have but probably won't get here before plants so I will measure when everything is in dry start.

So now that UG is in should I just flood and crank up the CO2 or just keep doing the DSM?

Nice tank and i like where you're going with this. I have an old edge tank that's in desperate need of better lighting. Where did you get the LED strip and for how much?

Not really just used a hand-saw and then used some sand paper on the edges. It would look a lot cleaner with a dremel though.
