How about some taller hairgrass? I think there is a Giant version.
All this growth is with no co2, just excel? looks very healthy

Blyxa would look nice behind the hardscape... and it would be taller than the hairgrass

nice tank and HC! I also have went with a FugeRay (16", on a Mini-M) and am DSM-ing HC and glosso. I'm glad I got to see the capabilities of the Fugeray and I hope my tank will get to be as good as yours.

Really love this tank! May have completely convinced me to go high tech with one. As I have been on the fence about it.
What are you using for fert dosing? Saw that you mentioned using dry ferts just wondering exactly hoe you did it. Thanks!

Wow ... Makes me excited about my FugeRay. I too was concerned about growing HC with it. It's encouraging
BTW, I had purchased an Evolve 8 and mine leaked in I think the same spot as yours did. But mine leaked when I was water testing it, so I packed it back up and returned it right away. |

Sorry all, I've been busy lately with life but also planning another tank, my new ADA 45-P. I did wind up going with blyxa in the background now. I will post pics up here ASAP, I think you all will love it.

i really like that fugeray. would you consider your tank more "high" light than medium? i'm not sure that i want to have to dose co2 in the tank, so i'm wondering if i would need to raise the light for my set up as i have taller stem plants.
thoughts? |

I would honestly call it medium light. I'm going to check one day again with my DIY par meter but I believe I only get about 28 PAR at the substrate so I would call it medium light in my opinion. I think with a heavy planted tank, you probably would be okay without co2. Although if its a tank about the size of mine, one bottle of excel will last about a year and can really make a difference.
