Plants?

I am setting up a planted tank, still need to get the substrate, but am looking for some plants to use. I am looking into making my tank with a hill on both sides and a pass in the middle. I want to get some moss and small plants to have but also have larger plants in the back. So what are some of your favorite mosses and plants?
Any ideas for setting it up?

There are a lot of great threads with information on beginner plants, so I won't repeat any of that here, but I will say that I've had some very favorable experience as a first-time planted tank owner myself with Anubias and Java Moss.

Ok, I will look at some more threads for anwsers. I really like the look of Java Moss. So I think I will try to include that.
