For those who sell moss by area...
How do you determine how much each portion is? A 2x2" portion doesn't really give the seller a visual image of what they're getting. You could have a 2x2" portion with very little moss that literally can only cover a 2x2" area or a 2x2" area that has tons of growth on it. Why don't you guys sell by the golfball?

These pants? are fancy.

When I was selling moss a few years ago, I mounted moss on 2x2 white tiles and let it grow in to look good, then sell it.
Now I just sell it in giant hunks. |

How do you make more profit? If you're selling a smaller amount of moss for a lower price, it's still the same. I would seriously like to see different portions of 2x2"s from different sellers as it seems that they vary alot.

from what I've seen it needs to be thick enough to not see what it's attached to.

You see the same problem with "golfball" as a designation as well with some sellers gathering it very loosely and judging the amount while it's still floating *in* the tank and others measure after taking it out and pressing the excess water out.
I don't buy unless the seller is recommended to me, or they show an actual picture of what they typically ship with something to indicate size. Happily, the majority of my purchases have come with pleasant surprises, not bad ones. |

Tbh, most times ive purchased a 2x2 it has been a less than respectible amount. To be fair, ive never purchased plants from mord. With that being said id rather purchase golfballs simply because if its a small GB, usually its more than a 2x2.

Here's your best bet: Sell it as a "golfball" when all the moss is compressed into an actual ball.
That's what I do and then, really, send more like a baseball size. Just wad a bunch up in your hand until it's more than you promise. Of course, this is assuming you're like me and have more moss than you know what to do with.
