oldpunk's nuvo

This was originally going to be a nano reef. (Still has some marine substrate in it) Got all the stuff and decided it just cost too much. The tank is an Innovative Marine Nano 16. Just finished up the stand yesterday and the light bar an hour ago.

Here's a couple crappy cell pics: (I'll update these later with a real camera)

Equipment list:

- Nuvo Nano 16 (~24x12x14)
- Homemade stand w/light bar
- Reef Keeper Lite
- Ecotech Marine MP10ES (thank you, Petco for 1/2 off lol)
- #5 co2 cylinder
- Swagelok stainless steel regulator
- Green Leaf Aquariums in-line atomizer (plumbed into returns)
- Fishneedit 70W HQI
- ADA Aquasoil

Geez, when I look at that list I still think I should just throw some salt water and some live rock in there and call it good... Naw

In hide sight, I probably should have built a full cabinet style stand. There's a ton of wiring for all that stuff. Oh well, hah ha.

Lots of updates to come.

-Josh

Very cool. Is this going to be a high-tech? (Im guessing so because of the co2)

Ya. It's a high tech tank.

(Controller + co2 + HQI = high tech)

Thanks. I kinda want to drill the light bar so I can run the power cord though it. I'd need a longer cord though.

I would just use zipties, and ziptie the cord to the pole. Then add a shelf to the stand for the lighting ballast, and you're done problem solved lol

Oh, I'm going to use lots of zip ties, lol

At least the PC4 is black and will blend in. (And there's no need for a power strip and timers) I have no idea how/where to mount the RKL though.

Progress.

The tank is filled and running. As soon as the water clears, I'll start planting. I still have to finish cleaning up the wiring and programming the rkl. I'll probably just steel the co2 off the 20L until I finish up the reg for this tank.

I broke this trying to cram it in the back. There is now a T instead of the Y.

Waiting...

Eh, you can pretty much see what's going on there from the last shot. I've only got the foreground in there so far.

Here's a crappy update from cross country practice.

Super simple easy to work on scape. Maybe I'll add a rock or something.

Just mowed down the 049 the other day. The sword is getting bigger and the diatoms were never that bad. So... I guess all is well. I may get some fish soon too.

Here's a crappy pic:

Very nice and sleek design. Your Regs make me drool every time I see them. You do such a nice job of putting them together that I'm glad you didn't close the bottom with a cabinet so you could show it off. Nice growth as well by the way.
