Well unfortunately just about everything on the driftwood died. Had to clean up a LOT of dead plant matter and bought some more Anubias which is attached now. Ugh

Thanks! Hopefully soon ill get to the point where I can trade them out for fish and plants with some local enthusiasts and make the hobby a little more self sustainable

How do you get any work done? I would be so distracted looking at the tanks!
Great job. |

Haha thanks. I have the 3 monitors in my main viewing direction and I spend 90% of my day staring at all 3 and talking on the phone. It's definitely way more than I would've ever imagined doing when I started there 2 years ago

Well it's been a little bit. Over 30 shrimp now and still finding babies
![]() A comparison of the first batch of babies born to the latest found. You can barely see the little one to the right of this one. ![]()

Here's the latest look on a feeding day. Lots of shrimp reaching maturity and at least one always berried

Man I'm jealous. I think I have either all males or all females. I've had them for a number of months and I've slowly went from 10 to 7

Mine did the same for a few months as well (started with 12 and went down to 7), but I started feeding them good shrimp food on a better schedule and they perked up and I'm seeing new ones all the time and they're active and healthy.
Jake's food is awesome and I will never feed my shrimp anything else. I feed them his complete veggie Monday and Friday and feed them the pumpkin delight or the calcium plus sticks on Wednesday. I dose excel/flourish complete M/W/F as well for the plants which has never bothered them either. As long as you're doing the basics (for me at least) and there's nothing obviously out of whack, they just need to acclimate and then you'll start to see them perk up. I feel like a lot of people over react and change things up too quickly trying to figure things out, but again, that's just me. |
