Default Aqua Vibrant LEDs spectrum charts

Thanks, now only wish we had spectrum charts for each light. Lowe could you please post them when you get a chance?

Hey!
I have a 10 gallon 20" long tank that I am trying to get lighting for. I am having a lot of frustration trying to figure out which fixture is best for my tank if I want to grow high light plants like HC/Glosso. Does Finnex have a 20" version? I couldn't find one on the site.... So I am not sure whether to buy the 18" or 24" version, mainly because Im scared that the 18 in wont provide enough light.

Looking for some Tank detextives here :P
If I want high lights on my 20" long tank, (to grow things like baby tears/glosso), should I go with the 20" Fugeray or 18" Ray 2 DS? Which one will make the plants grow faster/bushier?

Tank Specs: ADA aquasoil+Power Sand, 8 in depth from surface to substrate

Any help is appreciated!

I think both fixtures come with mounts that raise them 2" from the surface of the tank, so you're looking at a depth of about 10" from light to substrate. You'll definitely be in the high light range with the 18" Ray 2 (around 100 PAR). The 20" Fugeray will give you about 60-ish PAR, which is on the lower end of the high light range.

I'm looking at getting a Fugeray for my 20g long with low-medium light plants.

- is this light bright enough for my plants? Mostly mosses, java ferns, annubias, but also some rooted plants such as dwarf sags, maybe some swords etc. it might make a difference for the light: The tank will have a fair amount of tannins.

- what length is recommended? I use the 10" on a 16" wide tank and the light covers the entire tank. Would a 20" be OK for a width of 30" or do I need a longer light?

Thanks!

I have a 55 gal bow front. The top of the tank to the substrate is 24 inches. Any data on the PAR levels at 24"? If I extrapolate the numbers right, for a ray2 24" I would get ~20uMol, which I think means it would be low light at the substrate.
If thats the case, I may have to get 2 side by side, or a more powerful fixture. Any suggestions?

Hey Lowe - I can't see the PAR charts anymore, don't know if anyone else is having that issue. I'm behind a web filter that is reporting http://i45.tinypic.com links to have potential spyware.

I think that's a 20 gallon high? One 24" fugeray would probably be enough for medium light plants ( can't open the par charts on my phone) and yes, you definitely want the dual 7k lights.

They also just released the Fugeray Planted + light, you might want to consider that (a little more growing power and color)

instead of 2 Fugerays I would really suggest one Planted + or one Ray2 (their strongest light) 12" wide is just too narrow for 2 lights (just my opinion)

are you planning on injecting Co2? Going high powered light and high demand plants without it is kinda asking for trouble.

One exception on the 2 light thing - if you are going full bore with a Ray2 and Co2 injection you can add a Monster Ray light, it just adds major boosted colors.
