180 Gal pre and post trimming example

These are just iphone pics:

I will trim the other two hills in 1-2 weeks. and sell off the weeds. Recovery is fairly good, in a week or so, the new growth will appear and form a nice tight low carpet. 3 weeks later, the carpet will be nice ans fully formed again, but not nearly as weedy and over grown at the pre trim example.

In terms of technique, is there a reason why you leave a portion seemingly completely untouched, if so, do you alternate sides?

Could not sell it all at once, this way I have more later, also, you do not want to remove most of the plant biomass at once, the tank is very weak if you do that.
