Hi Lowe - any PAR data on the mighty ray?
can't decide between the mighty ray or a small Fugeray on a nano tank. Fugeray might be a little too much power.

Hey hey. Which Mighty Ray and what size is your aquarium?
I will say that though the PAR values are relatively strong for such a small fixture, the spread is not so ideal and would be best fit on a narrow aquarium as the light output (degree) itself is narrow. Good growth underneath the fixture, not so much outside of it. |

Check it out, you even answer if I typo your name
Its a 3 gal JBJ Picotope - about 12" wide, maybe 9 deep. Came with a 9 watt cfl, pics on my sig. The cfl is ok, but leds just have that certain shimmer, and the color is good if the blue & white se on together!

Well, even w/ the typo you did flash the Batman signal ...the best way to get a hold of me, lol.
Anyways, I took a quick pic for you with the 60 LED. The tank is 12 wide and 10 high. The fixture is about 4-5 inches above the rim and PAR readings dead center bottom is near 70. Off to either end length wise was roughly 15-20. Hope this helps. Note that the readings were taken through open air.

Wow - that looks nice! For a little tank it looks a lot more 'airy' than a fugeray. Fugeray has a better spread though, tough choice!
Is the light you show on the Finnex.net web site? I only see the MIghty Ray 21 on there. PS: Fixed the spelling of your name, sorry about that!
