I have seen Dolphin Pet Village(campbell) sell a small bag of riccia for $19.99 but I do not think they carry it all the time.

I have some ricca and some mosses(java, christmass, and a really thinning moss not sure what is). If you want to pay shipping i can send you some. Just enough to get started with.(better than none right?) Baypoint to Palo Alto shouldnt be too much. 2-3 bucks, but Not sure for I've not sent anything out before. I might have enough for a few people but It wouldnt be much.
On a side note. I'd like to get some good carpeting plants if anyone out there gots some good ones... Hemianthus Callitrichoides would be a plus but hard to find.... or just some small plants that would be good for a ten gallon and wont take over anything... oh year some dwarf sag would work too... anyone out there got some spares? |

I just found out, and wanted to pass this along to all Bay Area residents, the SFBAAPS is a good organization to join as they have monthly plant swaps. Right now, there's a plan to have a group gathering/plant swap, and some visits to LFS' on July 31st. Someone has already mentioned they'll be bringing some riccia to this meet.
This might be a good starting point to obtain some good quality, and inexpensive plants. Just a thought...

Definitely check out SFBAAPS if you guys haven't been to one. Lots of plants can be had here, including java moss and riccia (someone is definitely bringing both java moss and erect moss and I'm sure there are others as well).
This next one will be in San Francisco and includes visits to two different LFS there (Ocean and Aqua Forest). FYI, Aqua Forest is the new one and George has offered to show us around after hours. Link to the society: http://www.sfbaaps.com/ |

I'll be at Nippon Goldfish company on Geary this Friday at noon for a mini swap. I have plenty of fresh Riccia, moss, ferns etc.
Bring cherry shrimp, Endler's, Killi fish etc and I'll gladly trade. Regards, Tom Barr |
